Hop varietiesRSS

There are dozens of breeds of hops around the world, some of which are readily available to homebrewers and others that are hard, or even close to impossible, to come by.

The list of hops in this section, their bitterness, origin and uses and other information is a work in progress. New hop varieties are released frequently, and we'll add them when we hear about them.

A feature in the pipeline is registered visitors to homebrewandbeer.com being able to add and rate hop varieties.

In the meantime if we're missing a hop or you think we're wrong about any of the information, please ase email us and we'll see it's corrected.

More information about hop varieties and their characteristics can be found at Wikipedia, Hopunion (US), Hop Products Australia or Barth-Hass Group (international).
