thanks guys rwh was right its the frist 100mml or so thats very cloudy, all was fine after that!

yep, i will try racking in time, but right now the beer is as clean as i want it!

what should your beer look like before bottling?

hey guys this is the second batch now.
Ive added about 500g of sugar and 500g of malt plus hops with the coopers bavarian lager kit

(most of it was simmered over the stove for 1/2 an hour)
as per instructions
its been fermenting for 9 ...

airlock not bubbling

hi guys im worried because my airlock is not bubbling after 54 hours.

This time round i decided to use the kit yeast (coopers bavarian lager).

Also as of today im geting a very strong smell from my brew ive never experenced such a strong smell with pervious brews...

temperature guide for fermentation

hi all, im quite new to it all
so i was shocked to find that there are so many different temps to set for different beers when fermenting... such as lager temperature being as low as 12C
im shocked cos the guy at the HB shop told me to brew everything at 21C
(slacker)

I would love to know how other users on this forum tackle the bottle prepping process...
what is your most efficient way to make ready so many bottle?
does it need to be so time consuming?

i would like to find out some more aout hops. Does anyone ever bother to grow their own?, can this be done in victoria?
i also heard about the "Pride of Ringwood" hops where are they grown and how do they rate?

help HB droped to low temp!

hi all i'm new to HB.
i got home last night after being away for three days to find my fermentation heater is not working. I assume my heater hasn't been working for a few days, the fermenter has been at about 14 16 degrees c
so i'm wondering if it going to be all right?

any help would be ...

yes you could use a "beer improver" in kit form found at most brewer's shops. You can use this to totaly replace brewing sugars or what ever desired amount you want to use :)
