hi all i'm new to HB.
i got home last night after being away for three days to find my fermentation heater is not working. I assume my heater hasn't been working for a few days, the fermenter has been at about 14 16 degrees c
so i'm wondering if it going to be all right?
If it was an ale yeast just warm it back up and it should kick along fine and saying that im pretty sure that most ale yeasts will continue to ferment down to about 15*C, so either bring it inside or grab your self a new heater and im sure everything will be ok

I think you will find that that is incorrect these days, as far as i know they used to but now they are ale yeasts as are all coopers brews from my understanding
I just brew coopers pilsner and bavarian lager this july/aug this year and they produce sulpher smell... Is this suggest it could possibly be a true lager yeast?

Possibly, i always chuck the coopers yeast and go with a saf or a liquid, ive just heard people on here saying that because people were complaining to coopers about brewing time they changed their lager yeasts and didnt use them anymore
