turbomatic washer

Just bought one of the brass turbomatic washer. I understand it fits to a standard outdoor tap. Anybody has any idea how to fit it on a standard laundry tap?
My laundry tap has a screw on thing like the outdoor taps, but just slightly big for the turbomatic washer to fit in it

Thanks

second dark beer yeast dead (again)

My second go at brewing a dark beer. First one being the malt shovel oatmeal stout, whcih turned out really drinkable with only 3 weeks in the bottle. This second one being Wassa's chocolate mahogony porter with the honey, dark malt and cascade hops.

BOth times, the yeast died on me and after 3 ...

Thanks everyone.

What I might do is leave the two as it is...and see what happens. I will take your suggestion Geoff to put on another APA (definitely my first one) right after this one.

Thanks

boiled my kit brew

Just realised i made this mistake. been doing kit brews for a while now (kit and sugar/malt) so thought i do a stove top brew.

Did two brews last week, a canadian blond and a australian pale ale.. botht coopers. Read in this website that you shouldn't boil your kit cause it takes away the hop that ...

So with the waterbed heater, it is perfectly safe to just put the fermenter on it to heat? Found one in the shed.. probably from the last owners who owned the house.. so might as well put it in good use

i wouldn't be too worried about.. wait till tomorrow and if there are still no signs of fermentation happening such as bubbling through the airlock or some visible krausen or a sg reading to see if there are any changes.. if still no signs of fermentation i will repitch another packet of yeast..

beer frothing up when bottling

I am not sure if this ever happened when we bottled a while ago, but we bottled our first brew after a long time and after priming the bottles (used up all the three fermenters so didn't have an extra one for bulk priming) with dextrose and filled it up for capping, there was so much froth in the ...

Put on a brew belt to keep the temp at around 24-26 degrees. pitched the yeast on thursday the two packs and not bubbling (whcih i am not ...

sediments when testing beer in hydrometer testing jar

I've done probably 4 brews now and never had this happen to me before, not sure if normal.

Took out some beer from the fermenter into hydrometer testing jar to test gravity and there are a lot of sendiments coming out of it, it is actually in chunks. What's happening? Never happened before.
Any ...
