I did many brews with the water-bath-sheet-fan setup before getting my current fridge setup, and never had problems with infections. I figured no bleach or the like was needed as our city water supply is well chlorinated anyway.
I also added to the mix a small water pump which continuously fed ...

I was doing the wet towel and fan thing for a while. I even had a little water pump to keep the towel wet, but still the temp would fluctuate between day and night.
Also my job often takes me away for a few days and I would return to find the tub dry and the pump gasping.
Finally I got me one of ...

Kippo, did I read this right?
I usually just get a type of brewing steriliser, be it coopers or what ever. Add about 50grams to every 4 litres of water (so if i fill the fermenter to 25L mark i chuck in around 250grams odd grams).

I have always been under the impression that you only need put ...

We were there back in the late 80s on St Paddy's day and were drinking green beer and admiring the photos on the walls from all the movies that had been made there.

There were a couple of blokes in the bar crapping on about their shearing exploits. It was pretty obvious from their nice dark ...

It just seems a waste of time and beer doing hydro tests (except to determine end of ferment.)
I prefer to not waste beer doing tests. I leave the hydrometer in the fermenter and read it from time to time to determine changes. I usually just give it a spin to remove anything that is clinging to ...

Says 12-18 degrees on the blurb. But I expect the fermentation process will generate its own bit of heat to keep it up in the high teens.

I got sick of combating heat!

Here in Sunny Qld we've been having a heat wave and it had been playing havoc with brewing.
Last brew I had in a water bath with rag draped over, a small pump keeping the rag wet and a fan to blow on the rag to keep cool. Add to that large blocks of ice to the water bath twice a day and I managed to ...

Thanks Oliver for some ideas. That site was written long before W3C standardisation became popular (or FF arrived on the scene) and has since been handed over to others to worry about.
I was just curious as to how the different browsers rendered that menu.
BTW, the actual menu page only has 4 errors ...

I find that a bit unusual.

To say that IE isn't standards compliant isn't exactly right. It complies with all the standards of W3C then does some stuff of its own on top of that. So with IE you can write HTML to make it do stuff that FF and the other Mozilla-based W3C compliant browsers cannot do ...

Gees Tipsy, that's a bit extravagant.
Mine just get a marker pen on the cap.
Initials for the brew and bottled date. That pen has done several hundred caps so far and still going, so I might just get my money's worth. Damn thing cost me nearly $2.00.

You'd need to use storage with a special tap similar to the honey wholesalers. They call it a honeygate.
