I believe I know the post you are referring to. My guess would be that it was deleted for being a personal attack, but if you really want to know, or have concerns, you should have gone to greg, not here...
Quite frankly I think you have missed the point of what a forum is all about. There was no ...

Censorship
I note that the moderaters on this forum practice censorship by deletion for the mildest critism and rebuke by deleting such posts thus supressing the will to contribute any form of constructive information. I reply to any post depending on its merit as I see fit, without fear or favour, and do so ...

Re: All Grain Setup
Gym I have just completed converting two 60L kegs, one a boiler and the other a HLT for a brew tree set up. I am still using my rubbermaid cooler as a mash tun, but because this wont be suitable for the final setup I will be replacing it further down the track with a 60L insulated keg. My intention ...

Yep I second Taz's post, and try an Ironhouse PA for a Tasmanian microbrewery experience. A top drop IMHO.

What the dr didn't say that comercial beer is pasteurised and from what I can make out this is to maintain taste so it doesn't vary. If the beer is off then don't blame the brewery, blame the cellarman for not keeping his lines clean. Sorta covering their arse I guess.

Settle down T/L you might end up heart attack material. Youre right about HBS's processing disinformation to make a sale, and as for supermarket brewers they are on their own.

Re: When is my Gas bottle Empty
21.3 will be the Tare weight of a full cylinder, subtract 6.00Kg off that and thats the weight of an empty cylinder. If you have a dual regulater one is the pressure in the cylinder and the other is the adjusted pressure out. The gauge that gives you the pressure inside the cylinder aren't that ...

Re: Should I add Gypsum?
Tipsy......the short unscientific answer is yes, 5-10 grams of gypsym won't stuff your beer. I have rain water stored in Poly tanks which is rather benign, and use mineral additives to change the water profile in a beer that I am trying to emulate. this seems to have little effect on the pH which is ...

Re: Need Some Lube lol
realistically speaking, is there any reason that you couldn't use the tiniest amount of vegetable oil? is it only because it might affect the beer's head?

G'day men
Just a reminder that our dollar is hovering around 66-70 cents against the greenback so that adds 50% on top of the prices you are quoting at the moment. No body has ever really come up with a plausible answer to me anyway why our dollar is such a poor performer against the US dollar ...

Re: Beer in the Regulator (Was Regulator stuffed)
A regulator is a piece of finely adjusted equipment and if faulty would need to be serviced by an expert in the field. With the high cost of labour today it would be more financially expedient to go out and buy a new one. Given the large ammount of energy contained in a CO2 cylinder akin to a loaded ...

Re: Hydrometer Question
Tim, Tim, a brewer without a hydrometer is like a carpenter without a tape measure, it tells you where you are going with your beer.........sob.
As for thyraeus I would definitely question the integrity of your hydrometer and invest in another or try drawing of fifty ml or so, tip it and go ...

No James definitely do not get like Dr Steve Brule, but yes in the middle of the berry and cherry season down here. There have many songs about the perils of drinking summerwine in the heat of the day.

Re: New Year's Resolutions (HB)
Mine is to slow down my output get rid if my 500ml handles and replace them with 250ml ones, and probably reduce my grain bill by 10% per batch and don't drink any more summer wine.

Re: Fridge or freezer??
I would give it a miss, the specs are sketchy you don't really know what you are buying. As this unit is almost the same cost as as one that Ross at Craftbrewer has in stock I would contact him. This is a temp contoller which switches automaticlly between heating and cooling depending on your ...

Re: home brew is good
I MUCH prefer my brews to 90% of what's in the shops.
Commercial swill has sugars, preservatives, hop-oil (instead of real hops) and god knows what else in it.
My brews only have malt, hops, yeast and water.. just as the germans dictated in 5642 BC! And its costs about half what the cheapest ...

Re: What are you brewing?
G'day Brian - happy new year mate...
The torrified wheat is useful but not essential - it's not going to make the brew undrinkable by not having it there. It is in the recipe for completeness in trying to get as close as possible to the real thing.
I'm working through a keg of it now and it's ...
