Re: Do I Hijack a Cerveza or a Lager Kit?

Re: Pepperjack

Have just found out that it contains 4% shiraz... so in a 21L batch you are talking about 800ml...

Might have to try this I think...

Pepperjack

I love this beer, its currently my favourite...

Now how would I go about making an extract version of this?? I thinks its an APA plus a touch of Shiraz/grape juice as per the bottle....

The APA bit I can handle, but its the adding of Shiraz/grape juice that is hard to think about...

Anyone have ...

Re: Additions to ESB American Pale Ale

I had some left over cluster (20g or so)so threw that in for 20 mins, threw about 20g Amarillo for 10 mins and about 10-15g cascade at about 5...

Bit of a mish-mash this one, using left over's..

Oh, and steeped 100g dark crystal...

I hope its better.. I like em bitter and hoppy!

Re: Additions to ESB American Pale Ale

oooohhh, I love IPA's...

Never thought about it...

So 100g, and some extra malt/sugar and some more hops to bitter it up and we have an APA/IPA hybrid????

Additions to ESB American Pale Ale

I have some dark cystal, some Cascade and Amarillo hops left over and have just bought a 3kg ESB APA kit (Dont have much time on the weekend)

Would steeping 100g of the dark crystal and adding some extra cascade (assuming that is what the kit contains) and amarillo improve this do you think??

Whilst on the LCPA topic, has anyone tried an all extract, I am toying around with it ATM

Cheers

Make sure you keep us up to date with how it goes. I would love to try formulating the recipe, but having only done 2 extract beers, I wouldn't know where to start.

No I'm not... Using a partial boil using the formula provided in the other forum...
