When I used to wear a wedding ring it was common practice to open bottles with it, you simply open your hand fully and quickly drag it upwards past the bottle taking the lid with it. Worked no worries but I had to stop wearing the ring when I jumped off the back of a truck and got the ring hooked up causing a bit of damage to the ring and my finger. My son got married last year and he wears a titanium wedding ring so I have passed the trick on down to him!

The ultimate bogan bottle opener is the one on a pair of thongs.

This happened to a guy I know when he was in the army. Apparently "de-gloved" is the word the doctors used.

P.S. I hate getting my ring hooked up.

I think that I've got about 4 bottle openers, a cork screw and half a dozen stubbie holders scattered through my Landcruiser.

Oh, and I've got a proper compressor fridge in the back as well

I just got the one with the magnet, that sticks to the fridge. Saves going looking for it all the time.

If I didn't say it, someone else was going to. It's magnay's fault - he started it!
