brilliant brewery. i was there last year, and on the plane from england to get there i just couldn't stop smiling, then got there, had a blast...was almost giggling like a school girl, but had beer in my mouth. Wish i could have spent the entire trip there, but germany munich hofbrau haus was a pretty good distraction
By the way an update on the Guinness spiders, we have tried cookies and cream, caramel pecan as well as blueberry swirl ice-cream.
Five years ago the legends at Guiness had a promotion whereby if you drank 10pints you got a shirt that says the wearer is allowd unlimited free pints at the brewery (you also got other crap but the shirt was the main prize), I was only 16 and my mum is Irish so we head off to Ireland about every 5 years, lucky noone checks ID in Mackay and so I drank my way through the pints and got my shirt. The pricks at Guiness unfotunatly do check ID and I was refused my unlimited pints when I went there that year. I was pretty sure I would make it to 21 so I kept my shirt safely stashed and am heading off there this year. I am packing my shirt and a tent and plan on not leaving the premises for the 3 weeks I am there. I figure I have traveled the majoritory of the way to see people, the least the rellies can do is travel the not so great a distance to see me at the brewery.
This is the writ of the Baron, thou art truly blessed.
