From k&k to AG.

Post by modo »

Being a public holiday in Brisbane yesterday. I thought it would be a good time to use all my newly made and bought AG gear for my first ever at AG. A little nervous due to not making the progression from partials to AG just k&k staight to AG. It does take alot longer but I think it was worth the effort. So to make it as easy as possible I just did a simple Pils. consisting of only 4.5kg of German Pils and 0.5kg of Vienna and 2 pkts of S-189 Swiss lager yeast and saaz hops. All supplied from the boys at Craft Brewer. So only onwards and upwards from here and alot more complicated recipes. One thing that has to go are these bottles for kegs. But one baby step at a time. The only problem is having to wait till it's ready to drink and compare the difference in cans and natural grain.

Well it's my 38th b'day on Tuesday. And it took me about 2 months to make and buy all my equipment between checking these sites and utube to see the best way to do things. :P

Only just done my 2nd A.G this week and was definately worth it.For $100 for a simple A.G kit i wish i done it earlier. Its just like the day i jumped from bottles to kegs, a big leap forward. I too went straight from k&k to A.G. Yes its more time consuming but should be all worth it. My first brew (T.L's SNPA) was better than any kit i had done. Cant wait to do the L.C.B.A clone.
