I've been lagering away this winter and in between my main A.G. brews I've ben throwing doen some can kits to boost up my stocks for the warmer months as well.So far I've done 3 cervezas 1 morgans cereza (with hallatau) coopers (with Hallatau) and since I found the coopers to be the better of the 2 brands just did another coopers cerveza (with galina).I also did a coopers euro (with Saaz & c/c for 2 weeks).Anyways I'm wanting to do a wheat beer and just wanted to know what everyone thought of the following brands
Coopers brewmaster wheat beer.
Morgans Wheat Beer
esb summer wiessbier
Black rock
i'm hoping to get a flavour similar to a traditional wiessbier,I'm going to go with German hallertau herbsucker hops @ 3.5%AA (about 28g) 500g muntons wheat malt and maybe wyeast 3068 weihenstephan wheat yeast .
any thoughts or advice will be welcomed
wheat beers!
Re: wheat beers!
Hi,
I've used the Morgans and Coopers for the basis of a hefe and both came out fine. The critical thing here is the yeast and you are using the right one anyway. Just don't be tempted to ferment too high. Keep 'em under 20 degress if you can. Remember that hefe's are more yeast driven than hops so don't go overboard with your hops.

Re: wheat beers!
I used the black rock whispering wheat a while back and was kinda disappointed...
But then, it was the only kit wheat I did, so I can't really compare it!
