i have been making home brew and want to make ginger beer, will taste transfer between brews from leetched smells in to fermenter

It may. It didn't when I brewed a ginger beer, but I tasted a friend's pale ale the other day that had been brewed immediately after a ginger beer. The taste of ginger was definitely present in the pale ale.

Dogger will tell you that you won't have this problem if you brew in glass!

I have heard that a good cleaning will also do it (sodium met for example or tri-sodium phosphate). This is only hearsay from my side, as Oliver said, I brew in glass
