carlton draught recipe

Post by alingsparkle »

There is a subtle flavour/aroma in carlton draught that I would like to replicate. My use of pride of ringwood hops from a 70 min boil throught to dry hopping does not replicate the flavour.

Does anyone know the variety of flavour or aroma hops used in carlton draught. The company website states they use their own 'pride' variety of hops.

Sounds like you've hit the nail on the head, though what differs the flavour from New, vb and C.d then few drops extra?

Maybe the best thing to do is look for the 'contact us' tab on their website and send them an email explaining you're a homebrewer and asking for the info you're looking for. I'm pretty sure if you ask for the general composition of the beer they should give you some guidelines. Good luck.

The best response re VB was on the News.com.au website where one comment queried how the hell they get the cat to sit still over the stubby or can!
