Apparently the hair has a similar effect to adding hops.
My last brew worked out quite nice. Instead of going to your local HBS try the hairdresser. Sweep up the hair at the end of the day.

Can of Coopers Bitter
25Gms Blonde hair @ 10mins
25Gms Red hair @ 30mins

When racking to secondary add 1 hair of the dog for aroma

I can't pull a rabbit out my hat,

But I can pull a hair out of my arse

Boonie, you may be able to do that, but (1) How did you discover this invaluable talent, and (2) why would you want to?

OK

so its been 2 weeks and i tried my first "hair of a son of a bitch"

.. brew.

as some may be aware i posted on my first brew being a bit flat..

well this one... PERFECT. i popped a cap it made a perfect sound and the CO2 seeped out as the head frothed up to the mouth of the bottle.

i think this one needs a month to get all flavors though... at the moment 2 weeks and 1 day from bottling it has a hint of cider flavor.

other than that it should be great..

Give it minimum 2 months. I normally drink the bulk of mine in the 3-6 month period, with a few samplers beforehand and a 6 pack saved for ageing further...

So would it be fair to say that you will be dropping a hair in every brew from now on?
