Re: What are you drinking now?
Been on Birbecks Four Brothers for the past week at the inlaws beach house on the Yorke Peninsula. A very tasty Australian IPA.

Pilsner from Bullant Brewery Bruthen, in eastern Victoria. A really nice pilsner, and one of the best Australian pilsners I've had. I find many Aussie versions are quite fruity for some reason. This is malty and crisp. Delicious!
Re: What are you drinking now?
Last night I had the pleasure of meeting a brewer by the name of Chris who lives near Daylesford, after drooling over his brewhouse shed out the back of the house with a HERMS set up and the keg fridge that had 10 taps on it with 6 connected.
he had a Kolsch, brown ale, tripel, hefe, black hefe, APA and another I can't re-call right now. Since I was there for dinner with a large group I failed to take any tasting notes but all beers were delicious, I found myself returning to the tripel over the course of the night (which is also why I probably can't give more detail).
He had another brew day today which I was invited to and much to my distress I couldn't afford the time, but have hopefully hooked up a future brew day with him.
He has a recipe website http://www.brewtoolz.com which is worth a look over for sure.
it has inspired me to do an overhall of my brewing setup and in particular my keg system as it was just awesome to see someone so organised..

Re: What are you drinking now?
Sounds awesome Pogierob, but the link to the recipe website doesn't take me to where I want to go.

Re: What are you drinking now?
Guess we think alike.
I assumed that was the "just got home sixer".
Not the on the boat beer as
I can't imagine that being packed away for recycle so neatly after being on a boat.
Catch anything?

That image link is broken, CF
I'm currently drinking a Coopers Premium Lager. Not a bad drop - not the best lager going around but it's going down well after a hot day at the beach. I'd much rather drink it than Cascade or Boags - or VB, West End, Carlton Draught, et al.
As an aside, I reckon the Coopers Lager from a few years back, before they reformulated and relaunched it, was a more enjoyable beer than the beer that replaced it.

Re: What are you drinking now?
No image hey ?
I was fishing down at Inverloch and drinking Mountain Goat summer ale in the can.
I liked it, it kind of has a home-brewed taste to it, which I thought strange at first but it really grew on me.

Re: What are you drinking now?
Yep, all good now. Earlier it just said "Image" where the picture should have been, and if I copied the link in the post (I can do that because I have the power!) and pasted into my browser I got a 404 error.
Seems like our friends at Tapatalk may have had an issue.
Anyway, back to important things - Mountain Goat Summer Ale is indeed quite delicious.
Cheers,
Oliver

Re: What are you drinking now?
Singha *cough* "Premium Quality" Lager from the bar fridge in my Hotel Room, Bangkok. I plan to get out later (somehow avoiding the protester below) & pickup a replacement up from a 7/11. Not paying 170 Baht!

Broome Pale Ale. WA's Finest Craft Beer.
Re: What are you drinking now?
Was a time that Singha was rumored to contain formaldehyde as a preservative. Never stopped me from drinking a shit load of it. Day after day after day...
