Re: Recipe Packs

IMO i would not bother with these packs as they are pretty expensive for what they are.
You would be better off by finding a recipe and buying the ingredients seperately

Re: Are you a binge drinker?? 3 beers in a day!

New research from the UK says men having more than 2 drinks a day
increase their chances of getting prostate cancer but as we know with
research it's how they interpret it mostly to suit their agenda

Re: Best Before Dates

All the new kit cans are now lined inside with a thin plastic coating which
would probably protect the contents from any metallic tastes well past the due date

Wort temps and all

In my last couple of brews i've been boiling steeped grain water with hops
for the usual time and cooling the wort down in an ice bath but for
the last brew i thought i would pour the wort in the fermenter straight from

Hop bag

I'm going to use one of those drawstring hop bags in the boil for my next brew.My Q is in regards
to a possible infection from the bag as it won't be sanitized before use.
Could i soak the bag in a solution of Iodophor before use or would the bacteria be simply killed
in the boil?

Re: Large electricty bill due to my brewing...

Look out your bills are about to go up even more.Due to Com govts carbon reduction scheme being approved
electricity bills will rise by approx $4 a week but low income people will be compensated.Better get into some mass
brewing to build up stocks

Xmas brews

So who's putting down a special brew to celebrate xmas(besides actually drinking of course)?I'm thinking of putting down a
Cascade Mahogany Porter after hearing a lot of good reports about it and leaving it for a few months.I'd like to also wish everyone a very merry Xmas and happy new year BURP
