Hi all,
I just wanted to find out if rinsing PET bottles after pouring the beer (or the very next morning) in cold/hot water to get rid of any beer sediment (so they are visibly clean) and then drying and then adding no rinse sanitser to them before bottling is enough to stop infections.
Should I use boiling water (is this ok for PET though - heated plastics and cancer risks etc) or should I use morning fresh and a brush with a good rinse and then no rise sanitiser (Hydrogen Peroxide)?
Cheers,
BrewHaus

Re: Bottle Cleaning
After finishing a bottle i just rinse out 3 times with water(does'nt have to be hot) and cover
the top with a bit of gladwrap to keep out the dust and bugs and when there ready to be used
again just a quick rinse with water and then sanitize with no rinse Iodophor

My bottle cleaning process is pretty similat to your BrewHaus. Glass bottles rinsed about 3 times with hot water until visibly clean, if needs be a brush is used. Rinsed with no-rinse sanitiser before botlling. No probs in 80+ brews. I would steer away from morning fresh. Detergent is detrimental to head retention and can require a lot of water to rinse thoroughly.

Re: Bottle Cleaning

Get these, much easier... Only have to rinse once after you've drank 19 litres..

To be updated shortly....
