How about pouring the tea out of a tea bag, filling it with hop pellets and stappling it closed???
I'm sure you could get about 10g in one of those, so maybe use a couple???
Any ideas

But it will settle out over time. Just like dry hopping in the fermenter

Something different

I've had a few ideas and wondered if anyone had tried these:
1) Putting a hop pellet into each bottle when bottling?
2) Put a hop plug into a blender before boil?

Just thinking of ways to get more aroma when I smell my brew

LaBatts recipe?

Does anyone know how to make a LaBatts Blue? It's been a while since I drank this one so I can't even remember the taste

Cheers

Budweiser Budvar brewery- since 1265.
I've drunk this stuff before and for a simple beer, it's great.
I know which one I would rather drink.

I wouldn't go too crazy with the bittering hops unless you add a lot of malt. Maybe try some goldings for flavour and a little cascade dry hopped for aroma (not too much tho, say 10g).
Still alright to dry hop with plugs?
I can't think why it would be a problem...but?

That one looks good.
I'm going to put my first ale on next week(done heaps of lagers but never ale).
So far I've got 1kg liquid amber malt ext. some golding & cascade plugs, other dry malts and dextrose. Most of the stuff is just lying around.
I want a nice glowing colour ale so I was going to get ...

So I'm guessing no-one has a recipe for this one.
If I asked for Mongolian Apple Dry Bleach Lager everyone would add their five cents, but 'cos it's not uncommon no-one cares.

The reason atropine is suggesting sex lube is they are water based.
I have a coopers fermenter and "SURPRISE" the seal is crap, but I've never worried. The way I see it is that there is a postive pressure difference, so nothing is going to get in.

VB Original Ale

Does anyone as a recipe for this one?
I was given a recipe that sounded pretty much like normal VB.
I was under the impression that this was a 'ye olde bitter' brewed as an ale.

One more thing, did you know CUB can brew a batch of VB in 20hours?

Carpet, rocks & a bridge.
Only 1 per carpet (this is a must).
To continue look through the VB drinker's phone, I've found that VB drinkers
hang around in groups.
Together this forum can achieve the ultimate dream.

If they are VB drinkers I would add some strychnine.
Make sure you don't drink it, and dispose of the bodies.
3 less VB drinkers brings me closer to my goal.

I made a coopers pale ale, with POR for bittering and Cacade for aroma.
I was worried because my yeast starter didn't work so I used the kit yeast.
I think the combination of ale and lagar yeast in the kit gave it something.
It is one of the best beers I've made.
If I did it again I would add some ...

I voted for Cold, but I was very close to voting for VB. In fact (I am Victorian) everything that comes out of CUB is overated and has the taste complexity of burning hair. :x

I think it's good to keep a record.
A couple of times of tasted something different, went back to the log and said"arrrhh 30min hop boil that's where the extra bitterness comes from"
Even small things like alcohol precentage or how many bottles I've "mis-placed" are on my logsheet

So has anyone else grown hops?
Is there anywhere in Victoria that I can get my hands on some?
Would any of the noble hops grow in our hot climite?
When is the best season to plant?

Growing Hops

Does anyone here grow their own hops?
Is it only possible to grow POR?
I would REALLY like to plant some but have no idea where I can get seed/cuttings?
I'm sure someone can help
