Kaffir Lime Leaves

Post by pmclaren11 »

Hello again,

For my next brew I am going to put down a Morgans Cortes Cerveza and was wondering what it would be like to add a couple of kaffir lime leaves to the fermenter?

I know the Cortes already has a limey flavour but I thought this would give it a nice aroma and flavour. Also how would I go about sanitising the leaves?

Has anyone had any experiences with lime leaves?

Cheers,

Paul.

Bruise and "dry hop" with them.
Don't re-invent the wheel, change the tyre..

I recently brewed a "chilli beer" with Mexicon Corveza (K&K) - I just put one bird's eye chilli in each bottle at bottling time. Next time I am going to add a lime leaf as well. I just steeped the chillis in a cup of boiling water for a few minutes. The beer was fantastic after 3 weeks priming!
