been reading about making and using slants. Seems simple enough. I'd be interested in hearin from anyone who uses them to hear about the practicalities.

If you have no means of sterilising the equipment you will use, I would not recommend you attempt to make slants. Even a small infection in a slant can cause a major problem in the final product!

Brilliant (and succinct) definition. Informative links too. Looks like something Colin at the Kambah HBS once showed me. Not something I have any urge to meddle with. Do the benefits of getting this right outweigh the problems with stuffing it up?

Cant comment on slanting cos i dont do it.
