Brew not bubbling

:?: :?: Need some help. I put down a Coopers Mexican Cerveza on Sat. 18/10 and its sitting on about 21 degrees. Today Mon.20/10 and NO sign of any airlock bubbling yet. The fermenter lid is good and tight and cant detect any leaks. This is my seventh brew, but the 1st that hasn't started bubbling within a few hours. There appears to be plenty of frothiness on top of the wort but surely there should be some airlock action by now?...HELP!!

Relax, don't worry etc.

The frothiness at the top sounds like a krausen, a good sign.

Cheers,
Greg

Yeah mate, You may just have a small leak in the o-ring around the airlock.

Krausen and trub are just as reliable indicators.

If it's really driving you crazy you could take some hydro samples and see how fermentation is going.

Relax.

Throsby.

Greg, Throsby, thanks for the info guys. I'll have a couple of cold ones and chill. Throsby, not too sure what 'Krausen' & 'Trub' refers to, can you fill me in please...cheers, Ceejay. :)

Airlock activity is the LEAST reliable indicator of fermentation. Look for the krausen (foamy stuff on top of the beer).

Krausen is the messy gear at the top of your brew and trub is the muck at the bottom of the fermenter.
