Re: extra can instead of sugar
If you use the kit and a tin of malt extract it will give you a brew with more body and a more malty taste, it is actually better than just using sugar IMHO. You might just need to add some more hops to balance out the malt sweetness
Thats it, you people have stood in my way long enough, I'm going to clown college

do a search on twocan or toucan,. You will get your answers there.

I get the impression the question is about a can of unhopped extract, rather than a 2 can brew.matr wrote:do a search on twocan or toucan,. You will get your answers there.
Using a can of unhopped malt extract will give you a perfectly good beer, certainly better than with the brew mixes or straight sugar.
Re: extra can instead of sugar
Possibly. I may have read too much into it when he said "another" can of extract..
The web site does say this;
"For extra flavour, replace some of the sugar with unhopped malt extract or use some Cascade Premium Home Brew Extract from another can"

Re: extra can instead of sugar
it did mention unhopped extract but also sugested using another can at the rate of 1.2 times the weight of sugar replaced. sounds like its what u call a two can brew , i'll look it up. thanks
