X-Tract bitter.
X-Tract pilsner or lager.
Damn that X-tract range is tasty as far as kit beers go.

Xtract Pilsener and Wals Lager with 1kg Malt and 20gm of hallertau dry hopped.
Never had a bad Wals and the Xtract range is great as well. The Wetpack Lager takes some beating as well.

I've only done the Wals wheat, and was pretty disappointed with the flavour from primary. I consequently decided to make it a blueberry wheat- that was a great beer.

This post made me start thinking about X-Tract again- after a few months in the Vic wilderness. I went and bought both a lager and a pilsner today.
I still don't know when I'll run them, as I've got an IPA, Russian Imperial, and another AG lager to run before I even get to them. And I still haven't bottled my last lager.

I haven't done the PA yet. The only one I'm yet to brew. I bought what I thought was a PA, but it turned out to be a bitter in a mislabelled can. It was well worth it though. The best bitter I'd ever had.

Favourite Kit would have to be
Morgans Royal Oak Amber Ale . A great base for a James Squire Amber Ale clone. Hmmm

If you're like me and love that style of beer, then you won't be disappointed. Brewed with a nice liquid malt, some crystal, a nice hop and some Safale yeasties and it comes out a treat. Cheers,

Details of mine:
Coopers IPA kit.
Amber Brew (500g Dextrose, 300g LDME, 200g DDME)
Yeast as supplied (Yep, the kit yeast.)
Bottled 26 Jan 06, fantastic drinking for almost no effort.
Or the Coopers Stout and Old Dark Ale recipie.
LAGER
Wals Pilsner.
See other posts extolling its virtues.
Cheers,
