Post by pgmoscatt »

Hi All,

Has anyone bothered trying the wort packs I am now seeing on the shelves ?

If so, what are they like ?

To me this just takes the (non-drinking) fun out of homebrewing.

I reckon it's so much more rewarding to have some sort of input into the beer, even if it's just the fact that you chose an extra hop teabag to add.

Kit & kilo is so simple anyway.

What are the prices like? I've seen them at Grain and Grape, but didn't check the price. I bet they're WAY above a similar kit and kilo.
I left my fermenter in my other pants

What's to stop you adding a "teabag" to a wort kit? The last one I did I added Crystal Grain & hops to.

The prices are a little more expensive than your average K&K but the results are far more impressive IMO.
