Gday Oliver and Geoff.
Just looking on your webpage for this years tasting of the Millennium Ale. Not up yet so i'm jumping the gun and cheekily asking : Did ya taste it this year, and if so how is it coming along
On a second thought, maybe your going to crack one on New Years Eve.

PM,
We haven't actually tasted it yet, as we just couldn't arrange a time in December.
However, we plan to do a tasting soon and will post the tastings ASAP.
Cheers,
Oliver (and Geoff)

I'm embarrassed to say, but I'm having trouble finding the tasting notes for the MA and for some commercial beers.
I'm sure they were around here somewhere ...

No, it wasn't a disaster. It was the best-tasting one yet, we reckoned.
Still looking, looking ...

This is starting to smell fishy to me.
I'm just about ready to call it ... the much-hyped Millennium Ale Project has failed to see out the decade.

Looks good Oli.
Did you mean it to be that dark?
It's based on a Hardy right? How does it compare?
Any idea when it will hit its peak?
Is it too early to say if you'd do anything differently?

Wait for 2007? Actually, yes!
I recently rediscovered the tasting notes for the 2005 Millennium Ale, which I'd thought were long lost. They're posted here:
http://www.homebrewandbeer.com/millenni ... ml#TASTE05
(Just about time for the 2007 tasting! Based on the above, I wouldn't hold your breath
)
Cheers,
Oliver

And I note that you haven't answered my questions above Oliver.
You know, success has changed you. I remember, not that long ago, when you were just a nervous lowly casual doing the late late late shift, jumping at shadows and finding 17 out of every 2 mistakes. Oh but now, now you're Mr Big Shot and the plebs can go to hell.
Is that the way Kreino and Dairne raised you?
