From fermenter to the keg.
help. please. recently have filled 2 ex-coke post mix kegs with tooheys draught (xmas pressie)with added hops, smelt good. the question i have is how long should i wait till i put them in the fridge to put on gas. cheeeeers

Chuck them in now. Wait 24 hours for them to get cold (beer absorbs co2 better cold) and then carb them up. I used 210kpa for 48 hours. Then disconnect the gas and vent all the gas out out of the keg. Turn your reg up to pouring pressure (75kpa or so) and you should have carbed up beer. It will settle a whole lot over the next week after that.

Re: From fermenter to the keg.
dr he filled them with free draught beer
dont put too much hop in the keg if it is the first time for your attempt
you might have been better of to do one keg first taste if you like transfer to empty keg
an do again with next empty keg

Pretty sure he meant the Tooheys Draught kits that one can buy in the supermarket and the "added hops" part alluded to him doing a kits'n'bits brew, as opposed to a straight kit'n'kilo. Could be wrong but that's what I took from it.speedie wrote:dr he filled them with free draught beer
