Yeast..Longterm Storage

I have just purchased some Wyeast VSS smack packs.I want keep some of the yeast for long term storage..eg..2 years.
Is slanting the only method ? Or are there others like freezing ?

Freezing works. Just add the required goodies to a healthy culture prior to freezing. Search for freezing yeast on this forum and you should find the info.
