Post by buzzkill »

the brew I'm drinking now is 2 months old and GOOD!..but I have kept 1 case in my closet at room temp. this beer is good, but has no head.case #2 was kept in a cool dark spot and has way too much head. ?? after bottled they were all washed off with cold water and radomly put in the two boxes by my kids so it cant be that I didnt stir priming bucket well enough..anyone had this problem???..they tast pertty much the same, but case #2 has better flaver to me,richer..you just end up with no head,or 1/2 a glass of beer,1/2 a glass of head..

Any chance it was the drinking vessel? That'd be my guess.

I have had the same thing with my latest brew to reach its drinking age. I dont think it is the glass either as I am anal about using hot water to rinse them and some bottles are just more carbed than others. I am also fairly certain that my priming sugar was diluted properly as well. My siphon tube is ridiculously thin and takes an hour or so to complete the whole batch.
You guys with your homebrew shop access have no idea just how fortunate you are!!!!!
