over confidence has tripped me to, coopers cerveca, coopers canadian light, .5kg brown sugar, .5kg ldme, a bit of dextrose, cascade and chinook boiled 10 mins, both yeast packets. 30 litres

what was i thinking,

foam everywhere and pissy fruity winey tasting liquid, Not sure if I am even going to bottle it. I have gathered the ingredients for the hoegarden clone, so I may dump the above down the sink and move on to better things!

Bottle it and hide it from yourself. Then when you find it in a couple months time give it a taste. If it has improved drink or store longer. If not then make a decision as to which plants in the garden need it most

The worst beer I thought I had ever made turned out to be one of the the best beers I have ever made, it just needed 6 months in the back shed, and that is no joke!
Prost and happy brewing!

Been waiting the best part of 10 months for my extract CPA to come good - still has a taste i cant place. Almost metallic. Had the grumpys crew taste it and none of them can place it. Time hasnt helped.

But in saying that, all these constant tastings to see if its ok means i only have 6 bottles left.

Worst beers - chilli beer, way too hot. And a strawberry beer, used 500mL of strawberry topping. Nasty.

I do have 2 brews i made nearly 12 months ago that are free to a good home. Coopers IPA - made with BE1 and no hops..... plus a nut brown ale, all malt but no added hops. I cant drink either of them. Cant drink a beer without hops, last brew i used 160g of saaz....... 8)

bang on with the hops drsmurto! I love loading the beer with hop flavour! Thanks for the tips on the storage, I think I will bottle and leave at the old mans house for long storage!

I made an oktoberfest lager and forgot to put the hops in at the 60 minutes... I did the 20 minute and 5 minute... but its just not bitter enough... I still have about 20L of that. I think i might've done the opposite with another lager i;ve made... I added 28g of perle at 60, 40g of saaz at 20 and 28g of saaz at 5... It tastes very bitter, but maybe this one will mellow out...

for some reason, i am adding too much hops to my beer without compensating with crystal. so the majority of my beers at the moment seem way too bitter for their style. The pale ales i have made seem more like ESBs or IPAs... doesnt matter that much as my dad loves bitters, it just annoys me that i always get too rambunctious and overload on the hops.. I must just get caught up in the moment...
