VDownloader, FLV, and others

Post by buscador »

using vdownloader .61 to download youtube videos, been using flv player but switched to vdownloader because it gives me options of what format i want to convert videos to.

when i download after it has reached 100% it says "converting video" sometimes this does not end so after a while i close out the program and try the video and it works, why do i have to wait for it to convert for so long and does anyone have a better downloader or any ideas?

right now im waiting on all grain brew vol.1 & 2 to convert so i can get some inspirations :D

I don't know about converting, but I use VLC player to play vids and I'm pretty sure it plays flv along with just about everything else...

I tried doing that for a while, but every free flv player on the market is terrible (no video window resize options, skipping, etc) and I couldn't find an flv ---> mpg/avi converter that didn't either seize my PC, convert without anything even remotely resembling audio/video synchronisation, or just give me error messages.

I think I'll wait a few years

VLC Player from videolan is great, it plays almost everything you throw at it, and it does it well!
Prost and happy brewing!

sorry havent looked at this thread in a few..

went on to vdownloader (now switched over to VLC player) ((was doing flv and vlc but flv just sucks)) and went to search function and typed "all grain" and the 20th one down the line was All_Grain_Brewing_1_of_2 , got episode 2 as well!
title is "Brewing with Bobby M, All Grain batch sparging, summer ordinary bitter, July 21, 2007"

try those key words on youtube and hopefully you get

NB. on vdownloader it kept taking so long to convert due to the search function never stops running, so now i paste in the link (directly from youtube) and its converted and done seconds after the download finishes

best, b

another one i looked at was Shepody Brewing, I think canadian dude, he doesnt believe in sanitation as much as me, but WTF....
