little creatures pale ale clone please!!!

just got the fermenter in the brew fridge at 20C. Ed your a champ with the chiller advice!!! chilled down to about 27C then switched from tap water to my fermenter full of super cold water at about 5C, let it run for 10 mins then it cooled to 20C :D :D :D got tonnes less trub in the fermenter too!!! mash temp dropped 1.5C but i added a bit of boiling water to bring it back up. looks,smells and tastes like its gonna be my best yet.4hrs work for my 25L batch of goodness :lol:

Just racked my LCPA clone (thanks Duane!) and i cant believe how close is tastes already!!! AG rules!!! im a happy man tonight :lol:

Magnum and Northern Brewer are very close substitutes. If you're talking bittering, then NB is a good alternate to Magnum, hence my use of NB in my Sierra Nevada recipe - my local HBS has no Magnum :(

I find Amarillo a close relative of Cascade, but with a slightly more marmalade complexity when used as a flavour addition. That said, I prefer Cascade for aroma additions, especially at flameout.
