Hi
I live in ireland and its a bity cold here now 5c outside so Im thinking of making a lager, is coopers draught a lager ? if so which would ye recommend lager or draught or bav pils etc...

I am new to this game so still at kit and dme stage....

I'm pretty sure it uses an Ale yeast, so might be a bit cold for that. I know the Coopers Bavarian Lager uses lager yeast; not sure about the other Coopers kits.

If you can't get a kit that comes with lager yeast, you should be able to get it separtely if you can find a homebrew shop.

Sticky: Common question: Cooper's kit yeasts

You could get yourself a saflager dry yeast, say the S-23. You'll need to go to a homebrew shop for that though. It will ferment down to 4 degrees C if you do things right, though they recommend 12.
