bundy clone?

Post by jase »

anyone got a recipe to make an alcoholic version of bundy ginger beer? i've tried coopers & morgans but they both have too much spice for my taste. the best i can find is brigalow with dextrose but this still tastes like syrup or a "post mix"style brew.

This may not help much, but you could try bundy ginger beer and vodka.

That would be a mixer called a moscow mule http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow_Mule we don't take kindly to that sort of tripe around here unless its moonshine.

Btw, don't try and make this with 80% moonshine, that is a bad idea. Infact I don't recomend 80% spirits generally. Expecially not in a pub... where there are police. Nothing good will come of it. :x

Give the TCB one a whirl then, heard it's pretty good and the spice toned down from the coopers one.

Grumpy's have a ginger ale kit which they talk up as being pretty good.

The Grumpy's ginger ale is great! The Country Brewer's Ginger is pretty good too.

Mixer drinks, but thats just me being a snob. But personally I found ginger beer and vodka tastes very differnt to the homebrew stuff, and in my opinion bad.

Use HB ginger beer and HB vodka.

HB ginger and HB dark rum works nicely.
