hi all, im quite new to it all
so i was shocked to find that there are so many different temps to set for different beers when fermenting... such as lager temperature being as low as 12C
im shocked cos the guy at the HB shop told me to brew everything at 21C
(slacker)
i would love if someone could write a guide or list of all the different types of beers and there suggested temperatures when fermenting
temperature guide for fermentation
Hi mookiedoi,
Check out this thread if you haven't already. It covers all this type of stuff.
As a general rule, lagers at 10 degrees, ales at about 20 degrees. There are variations on these, for example some belgian ales can be fermented at around 25 degrees to get fruitier tastes.
