Thought this might be a worth a laugh.
Had my 20 month old handing me caps while I bottled today.
Her Mum is in hospital after giving birth to our second daughter. Thought it was the perfect time to train her will Mum was laid up.
Can anyone beat a 20 month old bottling assistant in their production facility.
Love to hear your stories.....

hehehe
Don't have any kids myself, even I am godfather to couple
Can image they would be handy when they are older and can walk to pull open the fridge and get the beer for you, what would be be better if they also could know how to pour a good glass of beer
Maybe reward them few packets of lollies or few coins for every time they pour a good clear glass of HB? Makes them try harder next time to pour even better than the last glass?
May cost money a bit, but image what a good barmaids/barmans they could turn out to impress your mates? Think of this as a small f==k-all investment for the future generation.

That sounds cool guys.
My 16month old daughter can't help with anything yet, but when I come out of the garage carrying a cold longneck, she ALWAYS has to come up and check it out. She's been doing that since she could walk.
I call it the bub test, and her approval makes it a better beer.

WSC,
Congratulations are in order. Well done. Will have my own little head wetting session this evening.
My 2 boys would be more likely to pinch a few bottles rather than help me bottle. Diesel the mastiff cross is more interested but he doesnt do much for sanitation, especially when he dribbles from those dirty big jowls.
I recently caught him with his head in a just emptied fermenter licking the yeast cake up.
Cheers

You can never start em to young lol, and no I can't beat that record, I do have some help with my 13 yr old twin boys who think Mums hobby is a riot ...... they also keep asking me if I am secretly indulging in something illegal * hee hee, having two extra hands on bottling day does help out alot I gotta say. I also use the opportunity in brewing, as a kinda science lesson, they willingly grab the hydro for readings and make assessments on probable alcohol content Congrats on your new bub and make sure you brew something special up for Mum okay ?
Cheers to you all
Cheers to you all
I make the beer round here

I have ginger beer that I saved for Mum, and she does seem to like my latest mid strength mexican brew.
Tip for all the guys, I told my wife I was making several special brews for the christening and since then I have not got any negative comments about the amount of time I spend brewing or the number of brews I drink.
Happy days!
