It's Belgian Time - Brewferm Kits
It's Belgian Time - Brewferm Kits
Since grain and grape are having 20% off Brewferm Kits this month I decided its time to give these interesting products a go.
I got the Triple, Grand Cru and Gallia, anyone tried these or recommend some good adjuncts to add to them apart from the candy sugar?

As I understand it, these kits are fantastic just by following the given instructions. Trying to get overly creative with them, especially first attempt and with their high cost, can kind of ruin them.
I would most definitely brew them as instructed with just the candi sugar first time, and only try and improve them on the second attempt if I felt they needed improving.

Het Witte Konijn
The candy sugar does sound interesting!
I was planning a road trip out to Grain and Grape sometime this holiday season with the boyfriend, just to pick up some lovelies. Prices at G&G seem cheaper than those at Brewcraft, so anything I could pick up in bulk that stores easily would be worthwhile.
The Brewferm does do sound tasty tho!

Closest home brewing store that I know of is the Brewcraft in Heidelberg. Any other home brew stores that people know of in the area would be much appreciated,
Another one not too far away & very different to Brewcraft.
Greensborough Home Brewing

How is it different to Brewcraft though? Do they have a wider range, or just better prices?
Totaly different in their look, feel, smell, target market, items stocked, & attitude.
So just a bit different really

It's the 'home range' of the Worthogs homebrew club. Caters well for All Grain brewers with lots of types of grains etc. They do have kits etc but it dosen't seem to be their main focus.

I'll definitely be giving that one a visit as my girlfriend lives closeby.
My local is:
Australian Winemakers
106 Peel St North Melbourne 3051
It's got most stuff, but it seems to be more focused on winemaking (surprise). Also seems slightly pricy for the cans of wort, at least compared to the Coles in Greensborough Plaza.
