Hi All,
I have a family type function coming up later in the year.
What is the best mid/low beer you have made?
Want to end up with XXXX Gold type beer. Must have body and flavour.
I am into full strength and trying different beers but can't be bothered listening to people/annoying uncles etc sooking about drinking full strength ales or wheat beers.
I was thinking about Morgans QLD Gold tin , 250g Corn Sugar, Saflager made up to 22litres. Brewcraft calculator says FG 1011 and 3%.
Appreciate your thoughts and ideas.

Hi Chris,
The calculator on brewcraft sight shows that if you add malt it makes higher alc content than the corn sugar.
Have they got it wrong?

NTRabbit has hit the nail on the head with that recipie, best mid strength brew kit around in my opinion. If you get more adventurous try using 2 Morgans Master blend cans and add your own hops. This will give about the same alc. with heaps more different style beers.
Maltodextrin does ferment at a bit less than 25% of dextrose/sucrose. Evey 200g would raise the alc. about .1% in a 22L brew.
Cheers.

Do you have any recipes of the 2 x morgans master brew cans?
I have used these in the past to add to kits and they seem tops, add great flavour, body and head.
