Calm down people. I never judged anyone- name one time that I said anything about anyone drinking commercial beer. I just said that "I" have trouble drinking it, and that "I" never thought to copy it. I never said anything about anyone's mother, grandfather or pet elephant. I never said that it is so incipid that I would rather drink raw sewage- correct me if I'm wrong.

I simply made one light-hearted comment about hahn ice. If you actually read my post, minus the camel urine thing, that is actually the recipe for hahn ice. Wow, never thought of that did you?

It seems that some people on this site were looking for a witch, and in the frenzied posting that followed my post, found one. Well done people. Next time look before you leap (to conclusions). See what people are actually saying, instead of looking for a petty squabble.

Hey Chris

Do you float? Cause Ducks float and wood floats and wood burns and witches burn so if you float, you are a witch and we can burn you.

Doggers reference of good and great beer.

Good beer is cold and paid for
Great beer is cold and paid for by someone else.
Anything less than Full is Empty
There is no such thing as just one beer, which is why it comes in minimum quantities of 6

And I 'll come out of the closet, I will drink Bud and I am proud of it.

Well, someone has posted a link to Grain and Grape, who recommend Gold Rush Polar Beer + 1kg Dextrose. Interestingly, they recommend the same kit for cloning Budweiser (with 0.5kg Dex + 0.5kg LDME), which suggests that Hahn Ice and Bud must be fairly similar beers. Personally, I don't actually recall ever drinking Hahn Ice so I wont draw comments.

Liquourcraft recommend Black Rock Pale Ale kit plus their #10 Brew Blend, which seems to be a mix of glucose and corn syrup. Strangely enough, their recommended recipe for Coopers Pale Ale is Black Rock Pale Ale kit plus #15 Brew Blend, which is very similar to #10 (it just includes some extra malt). In other words, at least as far as Liquorcraft is concerned, there isn't a huge difference between Coopers Pale Ale and Hahn Ice.

Is Gary still about? Haven't noticed a post since the first one.

If you are still hanging around I'd go with the Tooheys Lager (although any lager kit would probably be OK), 0.5kg light malt extract, 0.5kg dextrose and perhaps some (say 20g) cluster hops for flavour. Up to you whether you buy some lager yeast or just use the kit yeast.

Maybe we scared him off.

Cheers,
Jay.

Beer Witch, I haven't heard from one of you in years. I thought science decided it was bacteria doing the spoiling.

Little do those scientists know eh?

It's the Beer Witches that put the bacteria into your beer to spoil it.
