Not surprised by the fact that there's no mention of Cooper's in the book.
MR-W told me himself that there's some history (some very, very old history) there and he's not a fan. At all.
My impression is that he sells Cooper's, but only because people demand it, not because he wants to.

the best durable fermenters
my fermenter is quite durable. It's really a food grade bucket with a lid, that's it. http://www.leylandhomebrew.com/item625.htm It has basic marking on the side in gallons and litres. Not much to go wrong as there is not thread on the lid which I only leave on loose during fermentation anyway.
