DB, the moonlight was a good one was it? I was up in Mooloolaba last week and got a different 6 pack every day to try new beers. I bought the GrandRidge Supershine which is very potent and very expensive. 11% alcohol and a stubby is $7 from the bottle shop and $150 a carton. Not my cup of tea though, had a strong scotch flavour. I've been checking out their website and they call it a sipping beer. Anyway, enough rambling. I'll have to try the moonlight out. Sorry, no recipe though.
Not tried to brew anything this strong, to be honest I so far have stuck to kits. But up until a few months ago the Eldridge Pope Brewrey was 5 miles from my home. I have tried the Thomas Hardy Ale and your description of your Millenium Ale seems to be spot on! I have a 1995 vintage bottle somewhere safe and no idea when I am gonna drink the stuff.
hmmm.. millenium ale eh?.. not really the "mid" strenght brew i was after..
but i'll keep the millenium ale in mind.... just incase petrol prices get too high
Mmmm. Sorry about that. I completely misread it. I was thinking of the Supershine, which is 9% or so. I blame it all on the red wine I had been drinking.
So, to clarify, if you're looking to replicate Grand Ridge Moonlight, DO NOT use the recipe for the Millennium Ale!
