Hey hey, thanks Big Dave!
This is an excellent, tasty and hoppy summer drop with a good balance of these flavouring and aroma hops.
Cheers!

Re: Lean & Hungry APA
I've been pondering what to brew for my first beer this year (terrible state of affairs, I know).
I think I now know what the brew's going to be! Thanks BD
Any tips about the adjustments to the hopping schedule?
Cheers,
Oliver

Re: Lean & Hungry APA
Hey Oliver
As I am no-chilling, I have usually made my hop additions 20 minutes later than stated. So, for example, the 60 min addition was added 40 min before flame-out instead.
It ends up about right though. After the flame is turned off, I get a whirlpool going to move the trub into the centre, which takes about 10 minutes or so, and then a gentle syphon, which takes 10 or 15 minutes. So the hops are in the boiling - or nearly boiling - wort for about the right amount of time anyway, as I am not sure that much of the hop material makes it into the cube. But I am not certain about how much extra bitterness might be added by putting hop additions into the cube with the hot wort.
It is academic I suppose. As I have said, my brewing is not the most exact of sciences.
But I do like most of the beer that I am making.
Feel free to send me a bottle if you want me to check it!!
