Oliver or Geoff,

Hey Guys,

I've just been in your brew catalogues and was wondering if you guys only brew kits, or do you go partials or all grains ever?

Hi General,

Sorry for the delay in replying  but I'm in the process of catching up on four months' worth of messages.

Geoff and I are both kit and extract brewers, and are yet to make a foray into partials or all-grain (although we'd both love to).

The Millennium Ale was an all-extract brew.

Cheers,

Oliver

Yeah. Wow

That's quite some time between posts.

There's an update though: While I don't brew AG I have done some partials, which have been my best three beers to date. Brew in a bag awaits. We had to do some renovations to the back yard and now I've got somewhere level to brew so I'll be putting together the BIAB equipment shortly and getting into that.

Next on the agenda is to convince 'er indoors to let me have a brewing fridge :D

Cheers,

Oliver

PS The Millennium Ale was an extract brew, converted from an AG recipe (although the AG recipe itself included extract due to the very high gravity).

I was thinking along the same lines but then had the thought that most porn sites are doubtlessly run by 38 year old virgins who live in their mothers' basements. You certainly don't have to be a foremost authority on a topic to make a good website about it.

Oh, and Oliver, check out freecycle and gumtree for cheap/free fridges. Got my ferm fridge off the latter for $60 and it's big enough to comfortably hold 4 fermenters.

My grandmother died recently, leaving behind several old fridges and at least one freezer. At least one will end up on the tip as we can't find homes for them all. As a thankyou for the great website I will offer you a free fridge wired up with a tempmate/STC 1000. I am a licensed electrician so dodgy wiring is certain.

All you have to do is pay freight/arrange collection from NSW Central Coast. I am not sure how viable this is but the offer is there if you want it.

Cheers
Paul

P.S. Bullfrog, you seem to know alot about porn websites. Sure you don't live in your mohters basement?

I looked into having a fridge freighted from Sydney to the Central Coast earlier this year. It would be cheaper to buy four second-hand fridges from ebay. I couldn't believe it.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the very kind offer. Actually, I'm about to put a free fridge up on the forum that was on permanent loan to my brother but is now surplus to his needs. I would take it and convert it but I simply don't have anywhere to put it  Well, nowhere to put it where 'er indoors wouldn't arc up :-)

BTW, have you tried putting the fridge on Freecycle? I'm a member of the Melbourne group and it seems to me that there are more people wanting fridges than giving them away.

Cheers,

Oliver

No I hadn't thought of that. They are still in good working order and I would much rather see them/it go to someone's home than the tip, so thanks for the heads up.

Hey Paul, you could put your fridge in the shop and claim the cash.
Always people looking for a brew fridge.
All money goes to you, I'm not looking for profit.
Happy to help out if it goes to a brewer in need.
Doesnt Jello need a fridge?
