Sorachi Ace

Post by Fifey »

Hello guys, I was wondering what styles Sorachi Ace is suitable for. I brewed Wassa's Honey porter with some cherry blossom honey and I thought Sorachi Ace being a Japanese hop would make for an interesting aesthetic at least. Seeing as it's a high AA hop perhaps I could use it just for bittering in an AG version? I couldn't get any of the Sorachi beers released recently to try, but from reading the flavour profile it could either clash badly or undercut any cloying taste from the honey.

Dont think that it would suit a porter as i understand its a very strong citrus type .Better suited to jap beers and cervesas.
Im not an alchoholic i dont go to the meetings !
