Hey all,
I've got a pack of Citra hops (bought on impulse as I see someone else has done) and was wondering whether they would go OK in a lager. Anyone have a view on this?
Cheers,
Tim

Re: Citra in a lager?
Just for fun, let's rename all LARGERS beers as BIGGERS beers.
LAGER can keep its own name!
PS: Note the smilies etc etc, before I get shot down in flames.
And yes, I'm with DrS, I'm also a spelling Nazi.
PPS: Post 1500 just had to be on something totally irrelevant to the homebrewing process.

Thanks lads...
I brew a 15-minute nelson sauvin lager (so-called because I use loads of hops for a 15 min boil) and was considering doing something similar with the citra.
On a related note, how does Citra go in wheat beers?
Cheers,
Tim

Re: Citra in a lager?
Wow, a 15 minute lager. I've done similar things with APA's but have always thought that a lager should be less hop-driven than it's top-fermenting cousins.
If you enjoyed the NS in a lager, then I'm sure you'd enjoy the Citra equally. I find them to be not entirely dissimilar hops. Do account for the differing alpha acid content when designing your recipe, however.
