Thanks for your advice on this.
I am circulating the chilled water through a car heater core in the cupboard. After a couple of days testing with fermenters full of water the temp is a steady 20 while ambient is 17-27. Success!
Heater cores are harder to come by than you would think, there being one ...

Fermentation cupboard with temp control

Hi, I hope for some advice about cooling my fermenters, as ambient temperature in Sydney is above fermentation temp during the day. I have been working on this and have some equipment assembled as follows:

Ipdate: I haven't been able to find bleach without sodium hydroxide in my area.

Im crazy but I use bleach as a no rinse sanitiser. The guy who made starsan was interviewed on brew radio talking about using bleach to sanitise. If you use the right amount + use vinegar to bring down the PH the bleach will kill germs better. I go with 2ml of bleach and 2ml of vinegar per litre ...

Reusing hops

Hi everyone,
I am new to the board, so I hope I'm not wasting anyone's time with this question..

I have used some hop pellets for dry hopping late in the ferment. I'm thinking I can now reuse these hops as bittering hops by boiling them?

Is this right?
