Alright, I finally got of my arse and bought a fridgemate from mashmaster. Just finished wiring it up together with a cut up extension cord, I'll put some photos up later on. All is working perfectly now (Just need to wait for my brew to finish, so I have a keg to put in there).
Just wondering ...

Re: New Chest Freezer
Hey,
Looks like a nice setup. The Fridgemates are a good buy. You could wire it yourself if you know your anodes from your cathodes. It's pretty easy and there are instructions.
cheers,

I don't normally want to buy overseas owned Matilda but I'd buy this beer.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they owned by Fosters?
And yes, tried Fat Yack in the early hours of the morning this morning (3am) at crown casino, and found it nice, but lacking. Could be because I was comparing it ...

New Chest Freezer
Hey, been a while since i've been on these forums.
I just bought myself a brand new chest freezer from The Good Guys, for $335. Fits 3-4 kegs (only have 2 though). My next step is to pick up, and install, a fridgemate. As I know nothing about these, I'm wondering if you guys can help me out. I ...

Help me make an American IPA recipe
I'm looking into brewing an IPA, so I jumped down to grain and grape (for the first time, great place), picked up some goods, and hoped I could make an American IPA out of it. Here is what I got:
Bucketloads of LDME as my stock was low
1.1 kg Coopers LLME
80g Cascade pellets (6.8%)
40g Chinook ...

Check out the range of beers from Meantime while your there. Great beers! I've tried the coffee porter and the IPA, and they were both excellent!rwh wrote:Great, that's the one I was thinking of. Will definitely check it out!

Hi all,
My housemate has decided to take me beer shopping for a birthday present. Anyone got a favorite bottle-o to recommend around central Melbourne? The one on Ackland Street in St. Kilda is good, but it mostly focusses on imported beers, and I prefer supporting domestic breweries if at all ...

Yarraville, actually. Looking forward to it
Looks like it could be a trip to G&G then a nice parma. If the beers are too dear at Mrs Parmas maybe we can get a few from G&G and sneek em in
The temple bar will be in yarraville, Mrs Parmas is near Parliament station in the city. And you ...

Did anyone see the write-up on Vic mirco's the other day, I think it was in Tuesdays herald Sun. This place looks alright http://www.mrsparmas.com.au/, haven't been yet but plan to next week for lunch. Beers are apparently Victorian brews, with quite a few from micro's. What more could a man want ...

I think I found possibly the greatest fish and chip shop in victoria the other day. Right next to gardenvale station, can't remember its name. Went in one night to grab some dinner before walking across the road to a 50th. Looked to the back of the shop and saw a fridge full of german beers ...

I'm thinking about doing a few micros, like emerald hill, bells hotel, mountain goat, then finish the night at the royston. Either that, or a proper pub crawl down swanston street, going to city/carlton pubs.Danis wrote:This sounds quality. Where are Melbournians planning on heading?
