i made one for a lot less.

300 litre centrex chest freezer from good guys $485
faucet with 2 taps $270
fridgemate $60

already had the kegs and gas bottle. freezer holds 6 kegs and gas bottle sits outside. if you have a D size gas bottle, it will hold 5 kegs and gas bottle.

As I understand it Lactose, Splenda, Sucralose, Nutrasweet etc. are 0% fermentable.

i have done a bit of reasearch (spoke to brother in-law that knows everything. you the person you went to school with that tops the class and doesn't do any study).

He confirmed it is 0% fermentable.

so by the interpretation of the replys, Hoegaarden to Redback would by like Boag's Premium to Toohey's Red. I'm going to get a bottle or 2. Not getting any more than 2 at this stage. The 6 pack of redback cost me $20. That's nearly a 19 litres post mix

just taped my tooheys old - YEAH BABY.

Redback Wheat Beer - Your kidding!!!

Well after viewing this site and reading a few books on brewing, I noticed that there was a few good things said about wheat beer. YOUR KIDDING. I tried the REDBACK WHEAT BEER and do not rate it at all.

Does anyone else agree?

Can anyone recommend a better wheat beer?

FRIDGE MATE

They don't have to be hard wired to the fridge freezer. You get a 3 metre extension cord and cut it in half wire it to the unit along with the temperature prode that is included and then for safety reasons install it into a box that you can pick up at Dick Smiths or Jay Car.

You pluck 1 end into ...

Re: Brew fridge cooling rates

I just want to run this by others here that are fermenting in a fridge or freezer...

I'm about to brew a lager, so am giving my recently acquired brew fridge a dry run to check if it's capable. It's a fan forced model with the freezer on the bottom and using a Fridgemate thermostat.

I filled a ...

Shagger,
A bit late, but if you are getting beer in the gas line, the keg is over carbonated. The pressure in the keg is higher than the pressure in the gas line.
When you pour the beer all you are getting is froth then the beer looks flat, I did exactly the same thing when I started kegging, it's ...

The kegs were chilled to 2 degrees ...
