How Long for Bock Ferment?

I've made a Bock using a kit and kilo mix. It was racked after a few days, I don't remember exactly how long it was as it was very slow to become active.
But after about 10 weeks in the 2nd wert its still bubbling only a couple of bubble every coule of minutes. Its been like this all along, very ...

Thankyou for your advice. I tried a little starter and nothing seemed to happen. but I only left it for about and hour.
I used the kit yeast instead. it is now bubbling along nicely.

On another note, do people buy yeasts and hops in bulk online or just buy as you go?

Out of date yeast.. Should I use it?

I've been a long time reader but this is my first post.
Please be gentle... :wink:

I've got an Amber ale kit to make up which suggested the use of Safale yeast. The HBS only had yeast that was best before 04/10. Is this okay to use or should I use the kit yeast?
I don't have option of getting ...

Gassy Pale Ale?

I've made my first pale ale brew, which is okay. But it's very gassy when opened.
If I roll the bottle gently before opening (to mix the sediment) it froths out about half the contents (750 ml bottle). If I don't roll, i burp after each sip like I've just skulled half a bottle of coke.
