and then creating a series of pages or links that deal with a specific topic - not quite sure how

eg grains
then under it a series of good threads dealing with grains or even select posts that cover the issues

like steeping or grain selection or amount to use etc

it'd probably be a fair amount of work and might even be worth sitting as an adjunct to the "how to brew" section on the main page of homebrewandbeer.com

i am by no means nominating myself for the role

just a suggestion
Thanks for the suggestion there....if someone wants to put their hand up for this (Im thinking Dogger hehe) then that would be great...I love the idea though!

EDIT:- Thanks damage!

fair enough. To be honest i didn't think of it as censorship, just a convienince to the users looking for information. but your right, it is form of censorship, prob not a good idea then

I'm against censorship in any way, shape or form

The only exception would be personal abuse

I've often wondered if it would be good to snip out the offtopic content once threads have cooled.

Sometimes threads start with a question, get discussed and answered. Then they drift off topic and rattle on for a while. The poor newbie (or vet trying something new) searching the archives is reading all this offtopic stuff at the end of the threads hoping for extra info and basically wasting their time.

This should only be applied to threads that have been inactive for a long time and are unlikely to be revived.

Maybe it's a terrible idea, what do you guys think??
