Oliver and Geoffby

★★★
Fire, rock, beer
Before we drank this beer, Geoff regaled us with a story about his pre-schooler daughter who upon hearing on the car radio that Michael Beer had been selected to play in the Australian Test cricket team said, “You'd like him, wouldn't you, Dad?”.
Oliver: “I reckon this is a pretty good beer actually.”
Geoff: “You'd be happy if you made it as a homebrew. Yep, if you brewed it yourself you'd be rapt. Nice and malty, good malt on the nose.”
Lisa: “It's a good beer, but a little burnt on the palate … it's dumb.”
Brewed using an ancient method, where rocks heated by fire are added to the wort to boil it. This is, no doubt, the source of the slight smokiness.
